Published Standards

Published Standards

We are setting out to reform the way industry accessibility test results are generated and reported. We will create standard reporting formats that make it easy for everyone to understand how accessible technology products and websites are for use by people with disabilities. This is the page where freely availalble industry consensus standards and supporting resources will be published.

Our first stage towards development has begun…

On June 15, 2023, SAR released its Request For Interest / Request For Information (RFI) for Developing New Standards for Accessibility Reporting. SAR seeks responses from individuals and/or organizations who are interested to develop either or both of the following two deliverables:

  1. Standardized Test Process for Consumer Technology Products
  2. Standardized Test Processes, Standardized Reporting Process, and Standardized Validation Process for Websites.

Responding to the RFI is a precursor requirement for responding to future RFPs for development contracts

Important dates:

  • RFI Released: June 15, 2023
  • Request for RFI Submission Extension: July 7, 2023
  • RFI Responses Due: July 31, 2023
